n00bfiles - Viewing n00b: "Gay Way" Computer

OK, here we go...
Once apon a time (about back in 2000) My family had the idea to buy a new computer. Our other one was having troubles of its own. So my brother and I ask if we can get a Dell. But, my dad insisted we buy a brand- new GATEWAY.

I didn't know of it at the time, so I thought it would be a usefull computer.
Well, we paid 3000 bucks for the computer, and it was "pretty much" the equalvilent to the new Dell that had been released...

Turns out our client was a D- Bag. The first year we spent with this computer was actually decent.( It was better than our old one) So we could play new games that came out. But, we couldn't the printer that came with it... HMMMM.

Well, then we go to our best friend's house. (His name is Cyborg571 and his bro doesn't have an account.) They have the Dell that my brother and I wanted. I asked Ben (Cyborg) how much they paid for it. He said "Around 2500, to 3000, Why?" Then I replied with a "Oh really?" Ben ''Yup, good deal too"

Crap. I should have gotten the Dell, yes I want that guy on the old commercials to come up to me and say "DUDE! You're gettin' a DELL!!!" And I would've said " Are you F****** SERIOUS?" And then I would be sued for swearing on T. V.

Well, the next 4 years were bad for the "Gay Way" as I like to call it. It stopped running things fast, like Renegade, and Half- Life 1. And up until 5, or so months ago, it had been running like CRAP.

So I ask Ben what he could do to help (He is a Comp Genius) He says "how about taking of Windows ME and putting on 98?"
I go, "wouldn't that suck even more?" Ben "Nope, it's much more stable..." I'm like "well God Jesus, let's do it!"

Off-Topic--So, Ben has just got The new Dell laptop, M140 LOADED.(Not the new, new one...) But it is still a kick @$$ comp. The god of all laptops.

So I invite Sam and Ben over to spend the night. (Also to get Friggin' ME off my god dang comp) We are having fun when I say "let's do this" But, Ben doesn't reply "LEEEEEERRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYY JENKINS!" Oh well.

All of a sudden, Ben realizes I have taken of Zone Alarm. "WTH? Uh oh." So he installs it. (Ask him how he got it.) And as soon as he gets it h does a Virus Scan.

All in all, it takes 45 minutes, finds 145 viruses, and treats 140.
Wow, I am dumb, 145 FREAKIN' viruses!

So, the rest of the night we installed 98, Ben forgot his 98 Start-Up Cd, OH GOD.
So I go off to look for my old comp's S- Disk, luckily it was a 98.

So we finally get 98 on and all is well.



Gateway sucks...
