I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about when I say that "kids do stupid things". Well, my friends take the cake for stupidity.

My friends and I were somewhat trouble makers. We would go out in the middle of the night, midnight to sometimes 4:40 in the morning causing trouble. We would take solar lights (lights that are staked in the ground with a little solar pannel on the top, they charge during the day and glow during the night. Now, we had an e-bay account set up, so we'd take them and sell them for loads of cash, of course split evenly between us.

Well, we soon found out that we were taking more than we could sell, so we had to find something else to do. We are out one night, at about 2 AM, when things get really out of hand. They decide to start smashing lights and lighting fires. I mean, what kind of morons would start smashing glass and burning things in the middle of the night? That's when I called it quits. They didn't.

Shortly after, school ends and I'm gone to B.C for 6 weeks of my summer vacation. When I return home, I call one of my friends and see what he's up too. He said that the other guys were over and that they were going out tonight (ughh). He asked me if I wanted to come along, I said I'd rather not.

The next day I call him, (this is where the n00bishness really heats up) he tells me they got caught and confessed to EVERYTHING. Now, the cops had them pinned for only the things they did THAT NIGHT, but they, decided to confess to everything they had ever done. Guess what the cops did? Every reported felony in our small rural community that went unsolved, was blamed on them. Well done guys. But it doesn't end there, no no. They HAD to give the cops MY NAME because I was there for a few of the times.

A few weeks later, the cops arrive at my door telling me that I am under arrest and that I have to give a police report down at the station. I comply, my parents are ready to kill me. I'm very worred right now, since I have never been in trouble with the law. I give him the info he wants about me and tell him everything I was involved in. He then tells me that I now have a curfew that is 10:00 PM and I cannot have any contact with my friends until the court date. I say I would do that. Of course I wouldn't ;) I think to myself that they must have got outsmarted by the cops, I'd understand.

I call one of my friends and find out the truth. It appears they were smashing lights and such, and the cops were called by one of the people. That person then followed them until he was sure the cops were coming. My friends, like idiots decide to keep following the road. The cops are driving around, they have no clue where my friends are, it's pitch black and they are all wearing black. My friends, stop where they are because they now see the police.<-- The smart thing to do. Then, one of them says that they should walk towards the cops, acting like they were coming home from a freinds. <--Stupid thing to do. So, they do. All the cop says is "Can I see what's in your bag, son?" Of course you can officer! Here, take this marijuana too, hell, while your at it, take my finger prints as well!

So, they have charges against them, and so do I. I appeared in court yesterday for the 3rd time. Now I found out that I get off, no charges, no fines. I believe, that someone realized that I wasn't as stupid as them and let me off the hook. Thank god.
