I wanna know how often you guys want to see server 1 temporarily turned into a marathon server.

I will most likely be changing it to marathon on friday (10th) at about 6pm GMT then leaving it all weekend til Monday (13th) 6am GMT.

This could be a regular thing, if you want it.

I have noticed alot of our players going to the marathon server.
That server has been full even during our slower evening hours.
I don't know if it is because it is full, or if it is becasue of the marathon format.
Any of you who have been going to that server wish to input?

I play there occasionally recently but only because a few friends play there also.

I've seen a few regulars from NS in there too. It's definately because of the marathon format, it promotes alot more TP and some matches can be so much more interesting. It kinda removes the idea that whoring for 35 minutes is OK.

Marathon only, the server isn't in a position to use any more game styles "On the fly".

I'm literally just asking for how often you want marathon, not what else you want. Speak to an admin.

I'm not the greatest fan of marathon but it is fun just when you want your team to actually play as a team, but sometimes when it is 25 vs 25 its quite difficult to penetrate gdi or nod on Under or Field so a skipmap could be used or massing would be interesting as well Very Happy

Well I tried the marathon server and OMG. All anyone ever waits to do is "Mass" and rush. It's not as fun, in my opinion.
I also notice the Mods there have quite an ego. Don't do what they want and !Kick.
It would be funner here cause you cannot mass.
I saw alot of players from here though, and still would like to hear more of their opinions.
It could be becasue alot of their buddies are there, it is full or marathon.
But massing all the time would get boring I think.

There was one game in particular on our last marathon weekend which I really really enjoyed.

MUDKIPS will back me up on this, Cunin also.

Walls_Flying, both teams raped the shit out of each other and I think GDI were left with just barracks and Nod with ref.

At about the 1 hour 15 minute mark people started getting intensely irritated at the infantry fights that weren't doing anything to help anyone. This caused our team to actually start to listen to the ones with good ideas.

We attempted a mass minigunner + engineer rush in the hope that atleast a couple would get through and be able to take out their ref, this wasn't to be the case. We knocked that idea on the head after 3 attempts!

Next idea was gunners, not enough people came and Nod had pretty much dominated the field picking us off before we could get into position, so then we sent about 7-10 of the team through as minigunners to cause a stir. Most of Nod were too busy at their entrance to notice 15+ Gunners or Rocket Launcher soldiers pounding their Ref. Epic. Fucking. Win.

Also, "I'm in position". Those who were in that game will understand Smile
